Claire Davey, Facility Manager
Claire joined our team in 2020, following management roles in other care homes. Claire has 20 years’ nursing experience, and is passionate about providing top-quality care for elderly people. Claire is enjoying the new challenge of managing our team.
Claire has lived all around New Zealand and spent many happy childhood holidays here at the Mount. She enjoys spending her downtime with her animals and in the garden.
Maureen Stark, Clinical Manager
Maureen worked at Malyon House as a Registered Nurse for several years before becoming our Clinical Manager. Maureen leads our nurses in providing excellent care in line with best industry practices.
Hailing from the Waikato, Maureen has lived in Mt Maunganui for seven years and loves spending time at the beach and climbing up the Mount.
Paula Davidson, Administration Manager
Paula has more than 15 years’ experience as Malyon House’s finance guru and is the person to see for any enquiries regarding billing. Paula also manages vacancies as they arise.
Paula is a true ‘Mount local’ having grown up here. When she’s not at work she loves spending time with her family and her new puppy.
Fran Humbke, Senior Care Assistant
Fran leads our team of Care Assistants and has worked at Malyon House for almost 25 years. Fran specialises in going the extra mile to ensure our residents feel right at home and newcomers are made to feel part of our Malyon family.
Kelly West-Moore, Administrator
Kelly is at reception, and is the person to see for any general enquiries. Kelly coordinates our Meals on Wheels service as well as assisting residents with booking appointments, transport, hairdresser and podiatrist visits. Kelly has been at Malyon House for ten years in various roles.
Kelly was born and bred in Tauranga and enjoys getting away camping and riding her electric scooter.
Amy Munro, Director
Amy is a Registered Nurse with experience in Healthcare Management, who has been part of the Malyon House family since 1996 when her parents, then-Directors Cecily and David Munro started their Aged Care business. Amy took over the Directorship when Cecily retired in 2018.
Amy returned to Tauranga from Auckland to work at Malyon House and lives with her husband Brett and son Ben in Welcome Bay.
